Dave Thompson SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch has written again to Highland Council following a response from Highland Council regarding their consultation on the amalgamated community school in Dunvegan and whether or not the consultation was brought forward so as to avoid adherence to the Children and Young People’s Scotland Act.

Commenting on this Mr Thompson said: "I read the letter with great interest and I appreciate the educational merit put forward for the new school. However, in the interests of ascertaining that due process has been followed, I have taken the decision to write again to Highland Council, so as to hopefully remove any lingering doubt regarding the Council’s intentions during the consultation phase”.
