Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch was recently (23/03/15) accompanied to Cobbs Bakery in Drumnadrochit by The Cabinet Secretary for Fair Work, Skills and Training, Roseanna Cunningham, The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Angela Constance, and Ross, Skye and Lochaber’s Westminster SNP candidate, Ian Blackford.

Mr Thompson said, “I was delighted to welcome not just one but two Cabinet Secretaries to Cobbs Bakery in Drumnadrochit and meet both the group Managing Director, Fraser Campbell and the Bakery Managing Director, Rory Cameron.

“It was also fantastic to see the many skilled staff in an operational capacity.

“Cobbs is a highly respected local employer with 40 key employees at the bakery and hundreds more across the group so it was a great pleasure to be able to introduce the Cabinet Secretaries to this flourishing enterprise and welcome SNP Westminster candidate for Ross, Skye and Lochaber to the business.

The Cabinet Secretary for Fair Work, Skills and Training, Roseanna Cunningham said: “It was great to visit such a well-known and respected business such as Cobbs Bakery in the Highlands, who as an employer not only provide economically to the area, but socially too. I wish them all the best in the future”.

The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Angela Constance said: “I was delighted to meet the management and the many skilled staff at Cobbs and I even got the chance to dawn some white overalls. The endeavours of everyone involved at Cobbs are clear to see and long may that continue”.

Ross, Skye and Lochaber’s Westminster SNP candidate, Ian Blackford said: “It was a pleasure to visit Cobbs bakery, where the fantastic endeavour of was evident in spades and what a pleasure to be there with two Cabinet Secretaries and our local SNP MSP for the area, Dave Thompson.
