Dave Thompson, MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch is pleased to learn that a new hospital in Badenoch and Strathspey is closer to becoming a reality as a result of Scottish Government funding for the project.
£20 million of community health projects in Highland, including both Badenoch & Strathspey and Skye, Lochalsh & South West Ross, featured in a £409 million package to fund new hospitals and health centres across the country.
Welcoming this Mr Thompson said, “The final decision as to precisely how the proposal will move forward is with the Board of NHS Highland, but news of Scottish Government support will certainly help to advance the specifics and scale of the new Badenoch and Strathspey Hospital”.
“I very much look forward to further early announcements on the progress of the project”.
