Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch recently (04/11/15) sponsored Psoriasis Scotland’s (PSALV) awareness event in the Scottish Parliament.
Mr Thompson said, “As Convener of the Cross Party Group on Skin and Associated Rheumatic Conditions, I was delighted to sponsor the Psoriasis Scotland (PSALV) awareness event in the Scottish Parliament.
“It was fantastic that the Minister for Health, Jamie Hepburn MSP, attended, and it was great to hear from the range of assembled healthcare professionals.
“I wish Psoriasis Scotland (PSALV) all the best going forward in all the great work that they do and hope the event itself went some way to raising awareness of the prevalence of Skin and Associated Rheumatic Conditions in our society”.
Prof Iain B McInnes said,
"Psoriatic arthritis is a disease that is slowly giving up its secrets and with this new understanding of its causes and consequences; we are developing exciting new therapies. The work of PSALV is critical in raising awareness of this condition and of its impact upon those afflicted”.
Rob Moore, Celgene UK's Director for Inflammation and Immunology said,
“Celgene was delighted to support this important event. Psoriatic arthritis can have a significant impact on people's quality of life and earlier diagnosis is essential”.
