Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch has welcomed the news that Arqiva is currently advertising for Apprenticeships in Broadcast Engineering in his constituency.
Arqiva are behind much of the UK’s TV, radio, satellite and wireless communications network and a rapidly growing WiFi network. Applications for their Broadcast Engineering Apprenticeship scheme, based in their Mounteagle site in Inverness are open until 29 January 2015.
Commenting on this Mr Thompson said, “As our young folk have long been enticed away from the Highlands to utilise their talents, I welcome the fact that Arqiva are seeking to hire apprentices in the Region.
Opportunities for our brightest and best in the Highlands are to be applauded”.
Dave went on,
“I would urge those interested in a career in Broadcast Engineering to apply before the closing date of 29 January, and wish you every success in your application”.
