Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch, is pleased that his beard is gaining momentum (pictured), as he approaches his £500.00 target, with £381.82 already donated, towards Beating Bowel Cancer. The Decembeard group needs 5,000 men to grow beards and raise £500,000 to fund Beating Bowel Cancer's vital services.

In rising to the challenge, Mr Thompson said, “Every fifteen minutes someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer, so despite the added itchiness, I am taking my beard seriously for the worthy cause beating bowel cancer.
