Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch, has today welcomed the news that Simon Sims has been awarded £1675 from the Millennium Awards Trust.
Simon, who is a resident of Cromarty, has secured the funding to help him to set up Outlook Adventure which will provide a range of outdoor activities for people with physical and learning disabilities.
Commenting on this, Mr Thompson said: “I am delighted that Simon has been awarded this grant to help him set up such a worthwhile enterprise. Many disabled people are excluded from taking part in outdoor activities such as kayaking and mountain biking and this enterprise will give them the chance to experience these activities.”
