Dave Thompson MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch has welcomed the decision of Highland Council not to mothball the Knockbreck Nursery at Waternish.

Mr Thompson said: “The Knockbreck parents have presented a compelling case for the continuation of this Nursery, and I am happy that this pressure along with pressure from myself and many others has resulted in the correct decision being taken.

“Let’s hope that the presence of the nursery, entices some new young families to locate in the area, and add their youngsters to the nursery roll.”
