Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch was at the top table to speak at the Burn’s Supper and Ceilidh in the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Saturday 25th January to raise funds for Highland Hospice.
The annual Highland Hospice Burns Supper, one of the biggest Burns Suppers in the Highlands, was held to raise vital funds for the Hospice.
Commenting on this, Dave said: “I was delighted to be asked to deliver the ‘Immortal Memory’ at Highland Hospice’s Burns Supper and Ceilidh.
“Burns Supper allows us the chance to remember the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet Robert Burns and to raise funds for Highland Hospice was an honour.
“Highland Hospice exists through the determination of two ladies who identified the need for a specialist palliative care centre in the Highlands and today Highland Hospice remains the only hospice serving adults with incurable life limiting disease.
“I commend their passion and drive and hope the funds raised helps Highland Hospice achieve their goal of updating the Patient Unit in 2015."
