Dave Thompson MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch has welcomed confirmation that the Scottish Government’s Green Homes Cashback scheme will be available to all householders, including money being directed towards LPG and oil condensing boilers, which will benefit off-gas grid properties.
In welcoming the news, Mr Thompson said: "I am pleased that these efficiency measures will now include LPG and oil condensing boilers as this will impact positively on those people in off-gas grid properties, including many folk who use these boilers in my constituency of Skye Lochaber and Badenoch”.
Dave went on: “Fuel poverty is a problem in the North and West of Scotland where there are a lot of off-gas grid properties so I am in full support of any measure that sets us upon a path of reducing this problem and assists with helping to meet the Scottish Government’s historic commitment to eradicate fuel poverty by 2016”.
