Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch recently welcomed Skye Minister, the Rev Donnie G MacDonald to the Parliament.
Donnie went onto lead “Time for Reflection” in the Chamber, emphasising the importance of Christians fostering social justice, not just for the individual, but for society as a whole and insisted that MSPs should remember the marginalised.
Donnie was accompanied by his son Stewart and managed to fit in some time to chat with Dave over lunch.
Mr Thompson said, “It was great to welcome the Rev Donnie G and his son Stewart to the Parliament”.
I am particularly grateful to Donnie for leading Time for Reflection, where he emphasised the importance of Christians fostering social justice, not just for the individual, but for society as a whole, and for his plea for us to remember the marginalised.
“His words were spiritual and poignant, even managing a fitting remembrance to Charles Kennedy, the longstanding Highland MP who is sadly no longer with us”.
