I was very interested to see the comments made at the weekend by the respected farming correspondent Joe Watson on EID. Joe laid the blame firmly at the foot of those who caused the problem and I can do no better than quote Joe himself:

‘It seems time to remind the Liberal Democrat politicians, who are bleating about the SNP's alleged inaction on trying to secure changes, on who was in power at the time this ludicrous system was agreed.

Yes, the Liberal Democrats and Labour. The memories of politicians trying to secure cheap points is oh so woefully short.’
