The first ever Sensory Awards took place in Stirling Court Hotel on the 15th of February, with the event hosted by Angela Bonomy of the Scottish Government’s See Hear Strategy, resulting in success for Dingwall Academy.
Victory arrived in category 4, “Engaging people with a sensory loss and information sharing across all our communities” and runner up in the same category for the S1 IDL Deaf Awareness course, and runners up in Category 3, “Personal and Workforce Development”, staff sign class 2015.
Dave Thompson, the SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch said, “The success for Dingwall Academy at the Sensory Awards in Stirling is very welcome news and is just rewards for Margaret Kinsman, staff, and the students, for their commitment to promoting and participating in inclusion for those with sensory demands.
“I wish Margaret and her team of dedicated colleagues all the best with their future endeavours”.
