Dave Thompson, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch recently visited the Loch na Mhoid Community Garden on the Black Isle
The garden offers those in the area space to grow their own food and enjoy the outdoors. For just £10 a year members have access to a community poly-tunnel, summerhouse and all the tools required to maintain the garden.
Dave said: “I very much enjoyed my visit to Loch na Mhoid where I viewed the garden and watched a little planting.
"The initiative is an excellent idea which offers people the opportunity to grow their own food at very little cost, as well as enjoying the outdoors in a relaxing location. With household budgets increasingly squeezed, growing your own food can be an excellent way to ease the pressure as well as being very satisfying."
